FAQ

Questions, answered.

Everything you might want to know about pricing, hardware, payments and switching to Servio. Can't find it? Talk to us.

Getting started
How long does it take to go live?

Most venues are taking orders the same afternoon. After a 20-minute call, we import your menu, you print your QR codes, and you're live, with no installers or hardware deliveries to wait for.

What devices does Servio run on?

Anything with a modern browser: the tablets, phones and laptops you already own. Servio is fully cloud-based, so there's no special till hardware to buy.

Do you offer a free trial?

Yes. The founding offer is 30 days free, no card required, then £109/month for six months. Standard plans include 14 days free. You can also try it yourself without signing up.

Pricing & billing
Is there really no contract?

Correct. Every plan is rolling, month-to-month. Upgrade, downgrade or cancel whenever you like, with no exit fees.

Are there any setup or hidden fees?

There are no setup fees and no proprietary till to buy. You pay one fixed monthly price for your plan, and that's it. Card processing defaults to Stripe at standard rates.

Which plan is right for my venue?

Starter (£89/mo) suits food trucks and smaller cafés. Growth (£219/mo) is built for busy cafés, restaurants and dessert lounges. For multi-site groups there's Enterprise (£449+/mo). See the full breakdown on the pricing page.

Payments & security
How are card payments handled?

Payments default to Stripe at standard card rates and settle directly to your bank. Servio never touches or stores card data, which keeps your PCI responsibilities to a minimum. On Growth, Square readers you already have can also connect as a switch aid so you can move without binning kit on day one; Toast and other reader connections are coming the same way.

Can I keep using my existing card readers?

Default payments run through Stripe on devices you already own, with no proprietary Servio till. On Growth, Square readers you already have can connect so you can switch without replacing them on day one. That is a switch aid, not a hardware partnership. Toast and other reader connections are coming the same way.

What happens if my internet drops?

Servio keeps working through short drops and re-syncs automatically when you're back online, so service keeps moving. For details on our uptime and data protection, see the security page.

Switching & support
Can I move over from my current POS?

Yes. Every plan includes free menu import: upload your existing menu as a file or URL and Servio rebuilds your categories, items and modifiers for you. Growth and Enterprise add hands-on migration support, and founding pilot venues get guided setup throughout. On Growth, Square reader connection is live so you can keep using readers you already own during the switch; Toast and other reader connections are coming for the same reason.

What support do you offer?

Starter gets email support, next working day. Growth gets priority, same working day Mon-Sat. Enterprise gets a named contact with dedicated support and a 2-hour response during service hours, seven days. Visit the help centre or contact us.

How does the founding venue pilot work?

Choose Start 30-day pilot in the plan selector. There is no application or approval step. Your 30-day guided Growth pilot starts free with no card required. If you continue, Growth is £109/month for your first 6 paid months in exchange for a case study, then £219/month, on monthly billing only.

Can I run Servio alongside my current POS while testing?

Yes, you don't need to switch everything at once. Configure and test Servio before go-live, and for your first live shift keep your existing POS available as a fallback while your team confirms the new workflow. Founding pilot venues get guided help with exactly this.

How do receipts and printing work?

Servio supports receipts and kitchen printing as part of the platform. Printer setups vary by venue, so during guided setup we help you verify your receipt and kitchen printing before your first live service.

What happens when my free trial or pilot ends?

Nothing is charged, because no card is taken to start. To keep using Servio, add a payment method: the 14-day trial continues at the normal plan price, the founding pilot at £109/month for your first 6 paid months. If you don't add one, access simply pauses and you can subscribe later.
