The policies that govern how you use Servio and how we handle your data. We keep them in plain English, without games in the small print.
Privacy Policy
Last updated 2 July 2026
Who we are
Servio Ltd ("Servio", "we", "us") provides cloud point-of-sale software to hospitality venues in the United Kingdom. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.
Data we collect
We collect account details you provide (name, email, venue information), operational data generated as you use the product (orders, menus, settings), and technical data such as device type and log information. We do not store card numbers, because payments are handled by Stripe.
How we use it
We use your data to operate and secure the service, provide support, process payments through Stripe, and improve the product. We never sell your data, and we only share it with the processors needed to run Servio.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email enquiries@servio.uk and we will respond within one month, as required under UK GDPR.
Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. After closure, operational data is deleted or anonymised within 90 days unless we are legally required to retain it.
Terms of Service
Last updated 2 July 2026
Agreement
By creating a Servio account you agree to these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business.
Your subscription
Servio is billed monthly, or annually at the equivalent of 10 monthly payments (two months free), with no minimum term. New accounts start with a 14-day free trial. No card is required and nothing is charged during the trial; to continue afterwards you add a payment method. Founding venue pilot participants receive a 30-day guided Growth pilot free; if they continue, Growth is £109/month for their first 6 paid months (a case study is required), then £219/month, on monthly billing only. You may cancel at any time from your account settings or by contacting support, and your subscription ends at the close of the current billing period. There are no cancellation fees. If you are not satisfied within the first 14 days of your first paid subscription, we provide a full refund. See the refund policy. These Terms of Service, together with the policies on this page, form the full agreement between you and Servio.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Servio lawfully and not to misuse the platform, interfere with other customers, or attempt to access data that is not yours. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.
Availability
We target 99.9% uptime and maintain the service continuously. Planned maintenance is communicated in advance wherever possible.
Liability
Servio is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months preceding a claim.
Acceptable Use
Last updated 2 July 2026
Fair use
Servio is designed for real hospitality operations. You may not resell access, run automated load against the platform, or use it to process payments for unrelated businesses.
Prohibited content
You may not use Servio to sell illegal goods or to process transactions that breach UK law or card network rules.
Data Processing Addendum
Last updated 2 July 2026
Roles
For personal data you upload, you are the data controller and Servio is the data processor. We process that data only on your documented instructions.
Sub-processors
We use a small set of vetted sub-processors, including Stripe for payments and our cloud hosting providers, each bound by equivalent data protection obligations. Where processing happens outside the UK, transfers are protected by ICO-approved safeguards. This Privacy Policy sets out in full how we collect, use and protect your data.
Security
We apply encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and continuous monitoring. Breaches affecting your data are reported without undue delay.
Service Level Agreement
Last updated 2 July 2026
Uptime commitment
We target 99.9% monthly uptime for the core ordering and payment services, measured excluding announced maintenance windows. Live status and incident history: app.servio.uk/status. If the service is unavailable for more than 24 consecutive hours due to an issue on our side, you are eligible for a pro-rata refund under the refund policy.
Support response
Critical issues are acknowledged within one hour during support hours. Standard queries are answered the same working day.
Refunds & Cancellations
Last updated 17 July 2026
Free trial and pilot
New accounts start with a 14-day free trial. No card is required and nothing is charged during the trial, so there is nothing to refund. Founding venue pilot participants receive a 30-day guided Growth pilot free; again, no charge is taken during the pilot. You only ever pay once you choose to add a payment method and continue.
14-day satisfaction refund
If you are not satisfied within the first 14 days of your first paid subscription, contact support and we will provide a full refund of that first payment. This applies to your first paid month (or first annual payment) only.
Cancelling
Servio is billed monthly, or annually at the equivalent of 10 monthly payments, with no minimum term. You may cancel at any time from your account settings or by contacting support. Your subscription stays active until the close of the current billing period, and there are no cancellation fees. Monthly payments already taken for a completed or in-progress billing period are non-refundable except under the 14-day or downtime terms below.
Downtime credit
If the core ordering and payment services are unavailable for more than 24 consecutive hours due to an issue on our side, you are eligible for a pro-rata refund for the affected period. See the Service Level Agreement above.
How refunds are paid
Payments are processed by Stripe, and any refund is returned to your original payment method. Refunds are usually initiated within two working days of approval; the time to appear on your statement depends on your bank or card issuer. To request a refund, contact our UK support team.
